I want to ask for your help today.  I have been looking for some time for a source of audiobooks in Turkish.  In English we have Audacity and can get any book written in audiobook format it seems.

Does anyone know of a source for Turkish audiobooks?

I have found some of the classics and a few Turkish authors as audiobooks online, but I would like to find books like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Lord of the Rings and the Narnia books - and I can't find them anywhere.

I can't even find Orhan Pamuk's novels in audiobook format.  I'd love your help on this one.

Thanks!

I wanted to point you to a couple of new resources for language learners that I have created over at my other blog, The Everyday Language Learner.  The first is The Everyday Language Learner's Guide to Sustaining.  It is a short ebook dedicated to help you think more clearly about creating, maintaining and protecting your motivation, commitment and attitude toward learning the language.  Oh, and it's FREE.

The second resource is The Everyday Language Learner's Guide to Self-Assessment.  This short guide is a tool you can use to help you know where you are at so you can get to where you want to go.  I have had a lot of great feedback about this self-assessment tool.  There is nothing like it out there and I am excited to see independent language learners begin to use it.  It is for sale at the site for $10.00.

I would also like to ask you for your help.  I have less and less time to devote to working at this blog.  I espcially haven't found any time to create any new handcrafted audio lately.  So I would like to ask you for your help.  If and when you come across new audio files in Turkish or new sources of audio or video that you think would be a good resource for other Turkish language learners, would you mind taking the time to send me a link so that I can put it up on the site.  That would be great!  As well, feel free to send me your handcrafted audio along with a transcript and I will put that together and put it up on the podcast and give you full credit of course.

Together we can make this a great site for Turkish language learners.
