Language Coaching
Introduction
My name is Aaron Myers and I am a language coach dedicated to helping others learn another language. I do this in person or through skype and my goal is to help language learners be more efficient, more effective and have more fun as they learn a language. You can read more about me at the About page and can learn more by looking at the TLL Language Coach blog or my other blog, Stories from Turkey. And, while I live in Turkey, I do help people from all over the world learn any language they are working on.
What is Language Coaching?
Language coaching is similar to any other coaching situation whether it be a basketball coach, a job coach or a life coach. A coach’s job is not to play the game or do the job or live the life of the athlete, employee or person, but rather to help create training situations, offer feedback, provide encouragement and give direction to help facilitate the most effective and efficient learning program for each individual. As a language coach, my role is to assist you as a learner:
How Does it Work?
As your language coach, I will work one on one to find what works best for you to be the best language learner you can be. We will do this with coaching sessions, meetings of around an hour in which we will review your progress, discuss issues and create definite action steps for you to work toward. Coaching sessions can happen in person, over the phone of via video conference with Skype. Sessions can be weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, but before each session, I will ask you to fill out a brief form to help me get a better feel for where you are at and where you want to be going with your language learning. As part of the coaching program I will also happily field questions you have in between sessions via email. While you are apart of the coaching program I also offer language assessment every six months.
How Much Does it Cost
You can find all of our services and prices our pricing page.
Do you have other programs?
I offer other training programs for groups. You can find out more about these on the services and prices page. My Becoming a Self Directed Language Learner is especially helpful for groups traveling abroad together. Other seminars and workshops are directed toward foreign language or English language teachers.
How Do I Get Started
To get started simply fill out the Pre Coaching Form and email it to aarongmyers@gmail.com. I will get back to you to set up a time and chat a bit more about what to expect and how to prepare for our meeting.
If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to email. I hope that TLL Coaching can be a part of your language learning journey. Regardless, good luck on your learning journey!
Many Blessings,
-- Aaron Myers
