  • Lace Manual Download:  A free download of the Field Manual for the LACE Method of Language Learning is available from the author at this link.  A truly wonderful resource
  • Thoughts and Ideas about Pronunciation - Some thoughts on why we need to continue working toward better pronunciation as well as a list of drills and activities you can do to improve your pronunciation.
  • The Internet: The best place to learn English - Read, listen or do both with Stephen Kauffman's article.  It highlights what we see as best practice in learning a new language.
  • Tips for Life-long Language Learners:  Have you finished with formal language study and its not all falling into place the way you supposed it would?  Do you want to continue to grow in you Turkish, but aren't exactly sure where to begin?  This article is for you.  From the author of the Field Manual for the LACE Method of Language Learning, Peter Pikkert.
  • Tips for Narrow Listening - AJ Hoge summarizes some of the main points of Stephen Krashen's ideas about Narrow Listening.
  • Kickstarting Your Language Learning - Greg Thompson's short booklet filled with ideas for getting started.  Great resource and well worth the read.
  • Language Learning for the Real World - Greg Thompson's encouraging short booklet for those of us who have "learned" the language but now need to move to the next level.  Again, another great resource.
  • Summary of Krashen's Ideas - Stephen Krashen's Language Acquisition theory is really at the heart of this site and many of the articles posted here.  Reid Wilson of Language Impact gives a summary of Krashen's main hypothesis.
  • Creating a Comprehensible Listening Corpus - This is the Greg Thompson article that inspired the making of this site.  Thompson suggests building a comprehensible corpus of listening material that you can understand - 50 hours worth of listening material!  We are not there yet with this site, but we are working toward it. 
  • Support for Narrow Listening Libraries - Brian Caspino's study on the affects of narrow listening and his rational for building narrow listening libraries. Another of the articles that inspired the creation of this site.  (This article is part of a journal.  The article begins on page 2 of the pdf file)
